Every Single One of the Most Charming Coffee Shops in Paris

Every Single One of the Most Charming Coffee Shops in Paris

Cafe Lomi

Their artisan coffee is served around Paris, but you’ll have to make the trek out to the 18th to get a taste of their craft brew at their only standalone cafe.

3 TER RUE MARCADET, 75018
10AM-7PM CLOSED MON, TUES

Fondation Cafe

A shop set up by Melbourne barista Chris, Fondation offers beans roasted by local roastery Belleville. Sit outside on the tiny terrace with a cold brew and homemade baked good and watch the world go by. Swing by neighboring Bookshop/Gallery OFR before hitting the streets of the Marais.

16 RUE DUPETIT-THOUARS, 75003
8AM-6PM DAILY

Coutume Cafe

OK, I’m biased. This has to be my favorite place in all of Paris. I don’t know if it’s the open, airy space, the friendly staff, or the fact that there’s a cold brew on the menu – a really good one, to boot, but Coutume just seems to have the formula down. Stop in for l’extraction a froid after a day at the Bon Marche, or come for brunch Saturday or Sunday to see the place in full swing. Coutume has another location called Coutume Lab in the second arrondisement.

47 RUE DE BABYLONE, 75007
8AM (10AM WEEKENDS) – 7PM DAILY

Telescope Cafe

Telescope seems like the perfect Parisian cafe. It’s small, quaint, and it’s in an ideal location for a dip in after wandering central Paris. Be sure to order the cafe filtre, and you’ll be sure to make friends with the barista. Easy to miss because of its small size, it’s marked by a yellow bicycle parked in front.

5 RUE VILLEDO, 75001
8:30AM-5PM, SAT 9:30AM-6:30PM, CLOSED SUN

Cafe Kitsune

Opened by the indie record label and clothing brand, Maison Kitsune, Cafe Kitsune is the perfect place to grab a coffee or snack after wandering the grounds of the stunning Palais Royal. If coffee isn’t your thing, they also serve freshly pressed juice, and ice cream in the summer! Stop by one of their other two locations on Boulevard Filles du Calvaire, or Rue Condorcet.

51 GALERIE DE MONTPENSIER, 75001
8:30AM-6:30PM DAILY

10 Belles

A favorite hangout among the cool kids of canal St Martin, double decker (but still mini!) 10 Belles is a great spot for a quick lunch. The ladies of Brit cantine Le Bal Cafe bring their fresh vibe to the lunch menu of this always happening cafe. Come early – the daily changing menu runs out quickly!

10 RUE DE LA GRANGE AUX BELLES, 75010
8AM-6PM, WEEKENDS 9AM-7PM

KB Cafe

The coffee and juices are GREAT; however, the main attractions of this corner cafe are the sprawling (by Paris standards) outdoor terrace and the chocolate. chip. cookies. Even the most discerning american palate will be thoroughly impressed by their French take on the American classic.

62 RUE DES MARTYRS, 75009
8AM-6:30PM, OPENS 9AM WEEKENDS

Loustic

This Marais coffee shop serves expertly brewed coffee using beans from Antwerp roastary Caffenation. They take their coffee seriously here, as well as their brunch. Be sure to stop in on a weekend to get the full experience.

40 RUE CHAPON, 75003
8AM-6PM, SAT 10AM-7PM, SUN 11AM-6PM

Claus

OK, not a “coffee shop”, but you won’t be disappointed by this fresh German breakfast cantine. We recommend stopping in after a stroll down nearby Galerie vero-dodat, and unwinding upstairs with a cold glass of “detox” and one of their many fine pastries (our fav is the mini lemon cake!) If you’re planning on brunching or breakfasting here (which you should), you’ll need to make a reservation in advance.

14 RUE JEAN-JACQUES ROUSSEAU, 75001
8AM-7PM (USUALLY CLOSE EARLIER), WEEKENDS 9:30AM-5PM

Boot Cafe

A welcome addition to the already impressive coffee lineup in the Marais, Boot Cafe, housed in a former cobbler’s shop, may be the littlest of them all. Serving Belleville coffee and fresh juice, it’s the perfect place to duck in and unwind.

19 RUE DU PONT AUX CHOUX, 75003
10AM-6PM DAILY

Holybelly

Always packed, always exciting, the atmosphere in Holybelly is downright fun. The friendly Australian baristas and waitresses are part of the attraction, as well as the fantastic seasonal lunch and brunch menus.

19 RUE LUCIEN SAMPAIX, 75010
8AM-6PM, WEEKENDS OPENS AT 10AM

Fragments

This indie coffee shop serving craft espresso and cafe filtre is also a great stop for a simple lunch or breakfast. A great addition to the neighborhood.

76 RUE DE TOURNELLES, 75003
8:30AM-6PM, OPENS 10AM SAT, CLOSED SUN
